The local area - Friedrichshagen

The local area called “Friedrichshagen” has everything you need: from various restaurants, pubs and shopping opportunities to galleries and a cinema – it’s all just minutes away from the hotel. The historic main street “Boelschestrasse” is popular for old buildings, small shops as well as lovely restaurants and coffee shops. From there it is just a short stroll down to the lake “Mueggelsee”, the biggest lake in Berlin. You can enjoy the views over the lake, walk or cycle through the nearby forests or get involved in the various activities on the lake.

The "Kiez" nearby – Koepenick

Get on the tram just outside the hotel and after a short ride you are in the busy shopping area of the Bahnhofstrasse with the mall called “Forum Koepenick”. Just a few minutes more on the same tram and you are in the old town of Koepenick. Here you can explore the historic center of Koepenick, enjoy some delicious food in one of the many restaurants and learn about the famous Captain of Koepenick. Nearby is the Koepenick-Castle with a museum on a beautiful little island. Also very easy to get to are the local football-stadium “An der Alten Foersterei” where the 1. FC Union Berlin is playing his home matches, the open air concert location “Wuhlheide” and the science-district in Adlershof.

Further Outside the City

It’s not just the city centre of Berlin that has a lot to offer for tourists. Within just a short drive out of town you have plenty more to see and explore. How about a daytrip to see the unique landscape of the “Spreewald“? It’s just a 1.5 hour drive to the city of Luebbenau, right into the heart of the “Spreewald”.
If you like shopping you have to visit the Designer Outlet Berlin, a small Shopping-Village just outside of Spandau.
Other popular day- trips for our guests are the Baltic Sea, the city of Dresden or a trip to Poland.
